After a long hike through the jungle with guide William, we spent one day and one night in Belaraghi, a traditional Ngada village on the island of Flores, Indonesia. The village, which consists out of sixteen traditional houses in a clearing in the jungle, is quiet and peaceful, except for the sound of a few chickens and the wind gently rushing through the trees. The villagers gave us a very warm welcome, and although we don’t share the same language, they made us feel right at home. This short movie is a tribute to the people from Belaraghi village.
